Nicnevin, the Faery Queen of Shadows and Lady of the Hollow Hills, is the ancient witch-goddess who tends the Moon Flame. Her ray is silver-white, soft and penetrating, weaving through the world like moonlight on still waters. Her light is not gentle but haunting: silver like bone, sharp like crescent blades, and soaked in the astral tides of witches who have danced the liminal edge of death and dream. She is the embodiment of Devotion and Idealism, calling witches into sacred union with their truest spiritual essence. As one of the 7 Guardian Witch Elders under the Divine Mind of Hekate, Nicnevin channels the planetary frequency of the Moon, offering illumination to those on the initiatory path. Her devotion demands surrender. Her idealism requires transfiguration. She calls the witch not to believe, but to become. She is a guardian of the astral body, ruler of dreamwalking, psychic vision, and soul-forging through lunar fire.

The Sixth Witch-Flame: The Moon

The Moon Flame represents the witch's water-body and third eye. The purity of intention, the emotional alchemy of the soul, and it strips illusions from the heart and reveals what power lies beneath sentiment. Under her flame, the witch must face her soul’s deepest longings and her most painful delusions. This flame vibrates with lunar magic, mediumship, astral wisdom, and heart-centered devotion. Nicnevin tends this flame, for this is the flame of emotional transmutation, of mirror magic, of spells cast from blood memory, and the raw edge of desire. It is the flame that burns brightest in solitary rites, where moonlight spills over ancient altars and ancestors whisper through the trees.

Nicnevin’s presence is both elusive and commanding. She reveals herself in dreams, liminal spaces, sacred groves, and moonlit rituals. As one of the Guardians, like all Guardians, she works to guide witches toward henosis - union with the Divine Mind of Hekate. Through spiritual alchemical transmutation, Nicnevin transforms the illusions of the emotional body into a vessel for true gnosis. Her ray carries the force of the Ideal, the purest vision of what a witch may become when they align completely with divine will, wisdom, and unity. She does not demand perfection but guides the soul through gradual integration of shadow and spirit via the lunar mysteries.

Etheric Role in the Temple

Nicnevin reigns from the astral throne, standing between the world of the living and the spirits of the beyond. She is the Witch Queen of psychic initiates, dream sorcerers, and silver-masked priestesses who walk between worlds. She aligns witches to the Hermetic Principle of Correspondence, but through witch-lens: the mirror of the astral reflects the soul’s true power and trauma. Her flame teaches that as we command the soul, so we command the astral, thus bending fate through the reflection of spirit. Through her, witches seeking henosis (divine union) are purified in the white fire of devotion. Not to others, but to the Self reborn through Hekate.

Her Devotions, Her Spellcraft

Nicnevin teaches not by lecture, but by haunting. Through dreams, omens, echoes, and moonlit visions. Her spells are lunar thaumaturgy, drawing from the cold ether of the night sky, the pull of tides, and the murmurs of spirits caught in the mirror’s glass. Witches aligned to her flame master:

  • Moon spellwork: The spell is not in the words, but in the will behind the pain.
  • Astral Projection + Dreamwalking: Entering the liminal as sovereign, not seeker.
  • Psychic Pathworking: Following the lunar gate to the deeper chambers of the self.
  • Mirror Sorcery: Using reflection as gateway, weapon, and scrying flame.
  • Emotional Alchemy: Transmuting heartbreak into power, fear into foresight.
  • Sacramental Devotion: Dedicating all emotional energy to divine work.

Mysteries of the Sixth Flame

  • Planetary Ray: The Moon in its chthonic form. Psychic, spectral, sovereign.
  • Elemental Body Cleansed: The Astral (Emotional) Body - purification through possession of self.
  • Daemon Companions: Lunar hounds, storm spirits, restless dead, dream-guides, ancient fae. Archangel Gabriel, Planetary Intelligence Malchiel, Planetary Spirit Hasmodai
  • Alchemy Key: Tin transmuted into Silver (False righteousness to purified devotion) Silver dissolves the false.

Invocation of the Moon Flame

"Nicnevin, Queen of the Moon-Flame, Antler-crowned and veil-clad, come through the mirror. I offer you the raw devotion that strips away illusion. Cast your silver fire through my astral self. Align me with the white flame. I walk this night as an empowered witch Sovereign. Shadowed. Divine."

Witch-Sign: The Mirror Moon

Witches devoted to Nicnevin carry the Mirror Moon within, the knowing that every spell begins with self-confrontation. To embody the Sixth Flame is to walk the blade of devotion. It is to turn belief into will, and will into witchcraft.
